Jaylee Stone Scholarship

Jaylee Stone was a science camper for 4 years! She joined the journey in 2014. Her love for science was very evident. Jaylee was an excellent gymnast, loved her family, and had an infectious smile.

In August of 2017, Jaylee's family was involved in a car crash. Unfortunately, Jaylee died from her injuries on that day. She is survived by her mother (Emily), father (Jeremy), and brother (Wes). One week before the accident we were privileged enough to have Jaylee in science camp for the last time. She had a way of bringing out the best in people. Jaylee had a unique ability to bring people together.

This scholarship has been made in Jaylee's honor. Jaylee had a way of making science fun and exciting. Her favorite experiment was known as hot worms. However, now it is called Jaylee's worms. Camp Director Megan says this about Jaylee:

"Jaylee brought joy to our camp and we will definitely miss her. If there was a way to make science smile, I truly believe Jaylee would be the one to achieve it! Our team believes that by having Jaylee's Scholarship, we are able to remember her on our journey at camp."
